What can be personalized, and how true-to-life are the illustrations?
Imaginaroo personalizes books to cast the recipient as the star of their story by name and through illustrations that reflect the recipient's individually identifiable likeness. You can also include a dedication to be printed on the first page of the book at no additional cost.
We are proud to enable the magical moment when a child sees their likeness in a book, and feel a responsibility to provide that moment from every book we ship. Our illustrations aim to provide an unmistakable resemblance to the reader, but are not meant to directly integrate or recreate the reference images themselves. Our favorite analogy is to think of the reader as being cast in a movie. While hairstyles or clothing may be different from what they wear to school, their classmates would be able to definitively identify them as the starring actor or actress.

Can I see my book before I pay?
Yes! Pick a book, enter a name, upload a photo, and we'll make a free preview of your book's cover and opening pages, usually within a few minutes. No payment and no account needed. If you love it, you can order straight from the preview and we'll use the artwork you've already seen.
Can I preview a complete book?
Yes! Before you order, you'll see a free preview of the cover and opening pages. After you order, we email you a complete digital proof of every page, usually within 15 minutes. Nothing is printed until you approve it, and if we can't make it right, you can cancel your order and receive a full refund.
How soon will the book arrive?
Most orders arrive within one to two weeks from when you approve the digital proof of your book, depending on the shipping method you choose. You'll see delivery estimates at checkout and tracking information once your order ships.
Shortly after placing your order, you will receive an email with a link to review a complete digital proof of your book. Your book will be sent to print as soon as you approve the proof or, so your book isn't help up, after 48 hours If you don't approve it or send us feedback prior.
What is the return policy?
The Imaginaroo Guarantee: see your book before it prints, and request a full
refund any time before you approve it. After approval we start printing, so
we can't refund a change of mind. If a book arrives damaged, defective or
wrong, we'll replace it or refund it within 30 days.

How is the image I upload used?
Your photo is used only to make your book, and is kept only as long as we
need it to create your preview or book, make revisions, and sort out any
problems with your order. It's NEVER used to train AI models — not by us,
and not by the service that generates the illustrations. Previews that don't
become orders are deleted after the preview expires.
